 Example-2: Well Completion Optimization

- No of frac's per well?
- Type of frac's (acid versus proppant).
- Size of a fracture (length, width and height)
    - Modeling the fracture profile (perhaps less sensitive in a confined environment).

Example: No. of Frac’s Per Well

Initial Res. Press: 4,750 psi
Reservoir Temp: 180 F
OIP: 28.50 Million STB
Frac Half length: 300 ft
Frac Width: 0.34 inches-Ca. 4 Lb/ft2

Model prod. For a HAW with 2,4 and 6 fracs

 Beta Factor (1/ft)

Top Structure with all three models

 Output from all three Models

Comparison of a Proppant and acid fracturing

Proppant, usually longer frac's Ca. Half-length of 300 ft. However finite conductivity with high non Darcy effects.

Acid, usually short frac;s ca. 50 ft half length. However, with infinite conductivity non-Darcy effects are negligible
